ARMY are always here to defend BTS (a.k.a. Bangtan Boys) and its members. That’s why they were not having it when someone, who ran an anti-Jin Twitter account, mocked the oldest member of their favorite boyband.
The Twitter account in question apparently posted tweets that mocked the “Epiphany” singer’s English. Noticing this, loyal fans reported the account to Twitter’s officials, which have since suspended the account.
Having scored a victory against the hater, ARMY have been posting various GIFs and memes to celebrate the account suspension with the hashtag #BABYB0YBANGTANSUSPENSIONPARTY and making it trending in the United States on Wednesday night, August 14.
Those, who are hitting back at the hater, posted tweets that read, “babyb0y have fun in hell because that’s where youre going for hating on someone you dont even know and insulting the way they speak english,” and, “Lmfaoo didn’t even know that type of person or that type of account existed hating against jin like wtf but s**t b***h I am happy s**t is being wiped out karma at it again #BABYB0YBANGTANSUSPENSIONPARTY I love all my 7 cuties god bless them.”
Another wrote, “SOMEBODY GOT S WORDED BC THEY ATTACKED MY FIRST BIAS AKA WORLDWIDE HANDSOME AKA JINHIT AKA JIN ACTOR AKA SEOKJINNIE AKA THE LOML, LMAO THEY DESERVE IT MWA.”
Another fan taught haters and trolls to show respect to one another, “Respect others. Even if you don’t like them … you don’t wanna mess with us #army #Jin #respect.” Someone else added, “I’m sorry but you just don’t make fun of someone’s English pronunciation. Jin and the others took the time to learn another language and English is one of the most difficult to learn. Also, how the heck are there Jin antis?”
Jin and other members are South Korean native, so English is not their native language. While the group’s leader RM is fluent in English, the other six members are still learning the language and at different levels with their English speaking skills.
BTS is currently on a 2-month break following their last performance at Lotte Duty Free Family Concert on Sunday, August 11. Big Hit Entertainment, which represents the international K-pop sensation, recently clarified that the group is not on a “extended” hiatus.
“It has been widely reported that BTS will be taking a hiatus. To clarify, BTS will only be taking a brief, but well-deserved vacation,” the company said in an emailed statement on Tuesday. “We want to assure all of the BTS ARMY, fans, friends and the media that the group is excited to get back on the stage very soon for their scheduled stadium tour. More exciting BTS news and events to come!”
Despite their break, the group is still greeting fans through social media and their V LIVE channel. Most recently, Jin appeared with Jimin on a BTS Live session to talk about various things, including the former’s latest solo song “Tonight”, which was released last June.
