Each year, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) provides the most comprehensive educational experience spanning the field of dermatologic surgery, including cosmetic, Mohs, skin cancer, reconstructive and general dermatologic surgery procedures, as well as practice management. Attendee feedback shaped the programming of the 2019 ASDS Annual Meeting, which will take place on Oct. 24-27 in Chicago.
“Our Annual Meeting Work Group listened to attendees and evaluated every aspect of the four-day meeting and pre-conference,” said ASDS President Murad Alam, MD, MBA. “The improvements being made will provide enhanced learning opportunities and enrich the overall attendee experience.”
Beginning with a pre-conference of hands-on surgical and chemical peel workshops, a new Innovation Summit and the popular Unplugged session, dermatologists from around the globe will experience innovation like never before.
For the first time, ASDS Annual Meeting attendees will encounter interactive e-Posters, industry educational dinner sessions, expanded patient demonstrations and personalized “Dine-arounds.” Programming additions also span to the Exhibit Hall where industry representatives will host informal lunchtime talks, and a cosmeceutical bar will allow attendees to learn about ingredients and get hands-on with in-demand products.
General registration now includes the Unplugged pre-conference and all Morning Masters sessions at no additional cost. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend seven new unopposed plenary sessions covering all areas of clinical practice, with each featuring the newest innovations in the field. The topics include:
- Emerging Therapies in Dermatologic Surgery
- Technology Disrupters in Dermatologic Surgery
